Marching Chiefs Drum

Marching Chiefs Drum

Taken by Cheryl Suarez-Cammuse (B.S. ’88)

This photo of Marching Chiefs bass drum player Christian Tomberlin was taken at the Downtown Get Down the night before a big game.

“I like to think the drumbeat and FSU Seminole head represent the heartbeat of our university,” says Cheryl. “Plus, I love the Marching Chiefs!”

Doak Campbell Stadium

Doak Campbell Stadium

Taken by Lissette Calveiro (B.A. ’14)

This photo of Doak was taken from the stands near the President’s Box during Lissette's last home game as an undergraduate.

"This was the first football game I was able to bring my mom to. She'd been ill for a lot of my college years and couldn't travel long distances to visit. My senior year she was already, and thankfully, healthy so I was able to bring her to her first college football game,” says Lissette. "This picture represents a personal, emotional moment for me but also reminded me of the sense of community Florida State provided through my years there. Doak is one of those places on campus where you can truly be submerged in the energy of the Seminole Nation!”
