Welcome Seminoles to the Seat View and Selection Process

Welcome to Florida State’s new seat view and selection process which gives season ticket holders the power to see all available seats and choose the seats they want. Tickets holders will enjoy seeing what is available and may find locations they like better or that they want to add to their seat block.
The new seat view and selection process rewards season ticket holders and Seminole Booster member’s loyalty as season ticket holders and Seminole Boosters by basing the order of access on a priority point ranking. Ticket holders/Boosters with the higher ranking will have earlier access to see available seat locations and make their selection.
Ticket holders were sent their priority point total and relative ranking as of April 5th (see table 1) and will have until March 29 to renew tickets, Boosters, and pay any balances, before the final rankings are determined.
These current rankings will change daily until the March 29 priority deadline and this chart will be adjusted periodically as ticket holders adjust their accounts leading up to March 29. Ticket holders will receive a ranking update via email as well.
In mid-April, the ticket office will send each ticket holder their final priority points, ranking, and a day and time to access the system and select seats.
If you have questions, please call the ticket office (850-644-1830) or Seminole Booster office (850) 644-3484.
Priority Point Rankings as of April 5th, 2013
The priority points and rankings offered in Table 1 are offered to give you a relative ranking as of April 5th, 2013. These point totals and rankings are not fixed and will change daily as we approach the March 29 priority deadline and ticket holders renew tickets, increase or decrease their current year pledges and pay previous pledge balances.

Here’s how to improve your priority point ranking and gain earlier access
1.) Get your ticket order in by March 29.
- Only 2013 season ticket holders will have access to see and select seats so be sure to have your 2013 ticket renewal in by March 29.
2.) Be sure your previous year Seminole Booster pledges are paid by March 29
- A component of your priority point total is Seminole Booster pledges paid over the past five years. If your 2012 pledge is not yet paid, you will not have as many points as you will if you pay the balance.
Example: A Warrior ($600) member who has paid all of his pledges will be credited with $3000 of payments and earn 16 points for cumulative five year giving (see table 2) and may have 35 total priority points which ranks 3170 in table 1. If that same Warrior had not paid his 2012 pledge yet he would have $2400 in his five year giving total (14 points) and 33 total points to rank 3772, which is a 602 member difference. If you are not sure whether you have a previous balance outstanding, call the Seminole Booster office at (850) 644-3484 or click the chat button.
Helpful tip: If the Warrior in the example above has a $600 balance but can’t pay it all by March 29, they could gain one extra point with a $100 payment bringing their total giving to $2500 which earns 15 points in table 2.
3.) Make sure you make your 2013 Seminole Booster membership pledge by March 29.
- You can improve your points and ranking by making your 2013 pledge by March 29. The Warrior ($600) who hasn’t yet renewed his 2013 pledge will gain 7 additional points (see Table 2) by making that pledge by March 29. You can call Seminole Boosters at (850) 644-3484 or visit Seminole-boosters.com or via live chat.
4.) Maximize your points with an incremental increase in your membership pledge.
- You can improve the current year gift component of your points and ranking by increasing your 2013 pledge (see table 2). A Warrior member earns 7 points but a Tomahawk ($1200) earns 10 points and enjoys all the benefits of that donor level which includes enhanced benefits for tickets and parking. By upgrading from Warrior to Tomahawk, the ticket holder could improve their ranking by 900 and gain much earlier access.
Example: A Warrior with 35 points, who is currently ranked 3170 and tied with 411 others, could improve his ranking to 2288 by increasing to Tomahawk and increasing their point total to 38.
Helpful Hint 1: The Warrior who does not increase to Tomahawk can still gain points by increasing their pledge incrementally to gain the points they want. In table 2 you will note that if the Warrior increases their pledge to $675 they will get 8 points rather than 7. That single point would give the Warrior 36 points rather than 35 and improve their ranking from 3170 to 3035. A pledge of $850 would earn 9 points and 37 points and improve their ranking to 2372.
Helpful Hint 2: Understand the tie-breaker system. You will notice there are quite a few people tied with the same number of points. In the example we’ve been using, there are 411 ticket holders tied with 35points. The tie breaker will be current year pledge, so a current year Tomahawk with 35 points will have earlier access than a Warrior with 35 points. If a Warrior cannot increase their pledge by $75 to gain the extra point, they can still improve their position among those tied for 35 points by increasing their pledge from $600 to $605, $625 or $650.
5.) Increasing current year pledge will also add points in your future 5-year giving totals.
- The increased current year pledge will also add points in future years as your payments will increase your previous five-year giving total.
Example: If the Warrior in the preceding example, who is ranked 3170, increased their current year pledge from $600 to $850 they’d gain two points for current year giving (35 to 37 points) in 2013. They would gain another point (38) in 2015 as their previous five-year giving total would include $3500 rather than $3000. In 2017 they would gain another point (39) as they would now have $4000 in their five-year giving total. That increase of $250 per year could improve their ranking from 3170 with 35 points to 1856 with 39 points.
How to calculate previous 5-year giving total In the example we have been using, the Warrior level member is credited with 7 points for their current year gift of $600 (see table 2) and is also credited with another 16 points for their previous five years of giving ($3000 = $600 x 5) using table 2.
6.) Faculty, Staff, Alumni Association, Varsity Club and President’s Club also earn points
-
If you are a member of the FSU Faculty or Staff you are entitled to two priority points. Alumni Association members also receive two priority points (alumni.fsu.edu or (850) 644-2761. Varsity Club members also earn two points Seminole-boosters.com or (850) 644-3484. President’s Club members earn four additional points.
