Creating a dynamic campus atmosphere that promotes learning is a top priority at Florida State University. To achieve this goal, additional space is needed to accommodate growth.

The recent additions of the Alumni Center and the College of Medicine are evidence that private funds for campus facilities fulfill both practical and aesthetic needs at the same time. With such a long history, Florida State has an obligation to preserve the beauty of buildings from the past as well.

The State of Florida has designated a special matching fund to encourage the underwriting of facilities. Under the Alex P. Courtelis University Facility Challenge Grant Program, gifts equal to one-half the cost of building, renovating or equipping academic buildings are matched 100 percent.

Private support is increasingly critical in providing Florida State with the financial resources necessary to create new facilities and maintain older ones. Your gifts do nothing less than enable the University to provide an optimal learning environment.
