There are many ways to support the Florida State University College of Law. Gifts made on an annual basis to the law school's Annual Fund ensure that law students have opportunities to gain practical experience through courtroom competitions, journals and extracurricular organizations and to benefit from guest lectures and symposia. The Annual Fund also supports faculty teaching, research, publishing and participation in prestigious conferences. An excellent way to provide a predictable source of funds for the law school is through the Book Award program. Book Award sponsorships are multi-year gifts that support student and faculty activities and programs through the Annual Fund. Endowments allow funds to be deposited and held in perpetuity to provide an ongoing stream of income to support a particular need or purpose. Endowments provide opportunities to attract and recruit outstanding faculty, reward current faculty and assist with student financial needs.
Giving Rates The College of Law’s giving participation rates are exceptional. For fiscal year 2011-12, 88 percent of students made cash gifts and 28 percent of alumni made gifts to our law school. Additionally, our 28 percent alumni giving rate for fiscal year 2011-12 ranks us among the top 10 of all the nation's law schools in terms of alumni giving.
