2013 Executive Board
Robby McVie, President Robby is a senior majoring in Professional Sales and will graduate in May 2013. He will begin working toward his Masters in Marketing with a concentration in Sales Management beginning in the summer of 2013 here at Florida State University. This is Robby’s third year serving on the executive board. The previous two he served as the Director of Recruitment. Robby also works for Seminole Boosters as an intern with fundraising and marketing. While Robby is not focused on Seminole Boosters, he spends his time enjoying Seminole Athletics.
Gerald Johnson, Vice President Gerald Johnson II is a sophomore majoring in Sports Management from Jacksonville, Florida. This will be his second year serving on the executive board. He is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and works as the Campus Content Editor for the FSView & Florida Flambeau newspaper. His other involvements at Florida State University include being a member of Garnet and Gold Key Leadership Honorary and Chairman of Student Government’s Campus Recreation Board. During the 2012-2013 NFL season, Gerald volunteered for the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Franchise, where he learned skills focused on the overall game production of an NFL presentation. During the summer of 2012, he attended the Leadershape Institute, which helped him further develop his leadership skills. His favorite moment as a nole was defeating North Carolina in men’s basketball, 90-57, and rushing the court. It’s always a great day to be a Seminole. Go NOLES!
Gabby Belliot, Recruitment Gabby is a junior from Jacksonville, Florida double majoring in English and Retail Merchandising and double minoring in Spanish and French. This is her first year on the Seminole Student Boosters Executive Board. She served on Seminole Student Boosters first Leadership Council which helped her decide to serve on the Executive Board. She is also an active member of her sorority where she serves as an assistant social chair. She can't wait to motivate more Greeks to be a part of Seminole Student Boosters. Besides being involved in Greek life, Gabby is passionate about Relay for Life. She is a Celebration Leader and Team Captain for the 2013 Relay for Life here at FSU. Next summer, Gabby plans to share her love the Seminoles abroad by studying in Valencia, Spain. She loves reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family. Her favorite memory as a seminole was defeating the Florida Gators in Gainesville her Freshman year. Go Noles!
Danie Bucsek, Recruitment Dani Bucsek is a sophomore from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina majoring in Marketing. This is her first year serving on the board. She keeps busy as a Garnet and Gold Guide for the FSU football team and also serves on the executive board of her sorority, Phi Mu, as the Membership Director. She enjoys meeting new people and is excited to share her passion for FSU athletics as Seminole Student Booster’s Recruiting Chair. Her favorite memory as a Seminole thus far is watching the Noles win the ACC Championship in Charlotte, NC last season!
Andrew Wilson, Recruitment Andrew is a freshman from Orlando, FL double majoring in Finance and Accounting. This is his first year serving on the board. He is also involved as a brother of Theta Chi fraternity, a member of Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, and works as a University Ambassador. Andrew has been a passionate supporter of Florida State athletics his entire life, and loves traveling to away football games and attending baseball games at Dick Howser stadium in the spring. His fondest FSU tradition is the planting of the flaming spear at midfield, and his favorite memory is beating Clemson in 2010 with Dustin Hopkins' walk-off field goal. Go 'Noles!
Josh Hagler, Athletic Liason Josh is a junior from Coral Springs, Florida; majoring in Sociology while minoring in Business. He is a brother of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, where he has served as a rush captain for 2 years, also involved with the new member development process as a member of the pledge education team. Josh, played football, basketball and was a state finalist in the high jump in high school. His favorite Seminole tradition, which he believes is the most spectacular in all of college sports is when Chief Osceola rides in on Renegade and plants the flaming spear at midfield. Once he is an alumnus, Josh hopes to continue to serve the Seminole Boosters to the best of his capacity, and be an example of a TRUE Seminole! GO NOLES!
Natalie Ruiz, Marketing Natalie Ruiz is a junior from Miami, Florida, but born in Colombia. She is working toward a double major in Marketing and Sales. She is passionate about athletics and is pursuing a career in Sport Business, focused in sport promotion and branding. This is her second year on the Seminole Student Boosters Executive Board. She is also part of Phi Beta Lambda, the Sport Manangement Student Association, FSU Triathlon Club team ,and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Natalie believes that Athletics make the college experience here at Florida State University that much more rewarding. Her favorite month is March, due to March Madness. Her favorite NBA team is the Miami Heat and her favorite sport to play or watch is basketball. Natalie encourages everyone to uphold the garnet and gold. GO NOLES!
Desiree Fuentes, Marketing Desiree is a Senior from Winter Springs, FL pursing a degree in Media Communications, with minors in Hospitality and Family Child Sciences. This is her second year serving on board. Desiree enjoys running, cooking and hanging out with friends. Desiree works as an information specialist at the Student Services Building. She's a diehard Seminole and passionate sports fan and LOVES Florida State. Best memory was beating the Gators for the first time in years in 2010 and beating Clemson in 2011. Favorite part is attending every home game and the experience of traveling to as many away games as she can. Go Noles!
Garet Marr, Special Events Garet is a sophomore fromMadeira Beach, Florida and is double majoring in Risk Management- Insurance and Real Estate. This is his first year serving on the Seminole Student Booster Executive Board. He is currently serving as the Grand Treasurer of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He is also a member of the Order of Omega, Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization, and the Phi SigmaTheta National Honor Society. His favorite sports include football and basketball. He has been a Seminoles fan ever since he can member and has never been more proud to be a TRUE Seminole, Go Noles!
Julie Gomez, Special Events Julie Gomez is a sophomore from Miami, FL pursuing a degree in Sports Management, with minors in psychology and communications. This is Julie’s first year serving on the Booster Executive Board. Julie currently works with the Sport Management Department and Florida State Athletics: Facilities & Event Mgmt. She is also part of the membership committee for the Florida State Sport Management Student Association. Julie is a huge fan of the Marlins, Heat, Dolphins, Panthers and Florida State Seminoles. Recently, she became the Florida Panthers building operations intern for summer of 2013. Julie is presently interning with the Athletic Director at Florida High and in the past has volunteered with ESPN. In her free time, Julie enjoys going to the gym and attending sporting events cheering on her Florida State Seminoles! GO NOLES!
Christie Nowels, Greek Affairs Christie is a junior from Tampa, Florida double majoring in Media Communication Studies and Art History. This is her second year on the Seminole Student Boosters Executive Board. Christie is a second generation Seminole and sister to a former FSU football player. She is the current President of her sorority, Delta Gamma, and a member of Order of Omega. Christie has served on the Panhellenic Executive Board, Student Senate, and the Freshman Leadership Council. Christie’s favorite memory of FSU Athletics is traveling to New Orleans for the 1999 National Championship. Go Noles!
Cara Borowski, Athletic Events Cara is a sophomore from Orlando, FL pursuing a degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Business. This is her first year serving on board. Cara is the Vice President of Swim Club at FSU and is a member of Tri Beta Biological Society. She is an enthusiastic Seminole fan and it is her goal to attend at least one competition for every sport before she graduates! Her favorite Seminole tradition is doing the tomahawk chop at home football games. Go Noles!
Anthony Gelin, Leadership Development Anthony is a sophomore from Deerfield Beach, FL majoring in Actuarial Science This is her first year serving on the Executive Board. He is also an RA at Salley hall, work as a tutor. Anthony is really down to earth and love to hang out with friends and play basketball. His fondest Seminole memory is doing the Tomhawk Chop for the first time in a stadium of 80,000 Noles, all united as one! GO NOLES!
Andrew Slechta, Leadership Council Andrew is a sophomore from Winston-Salem, NC double majoring in Accounting and Finance. This is his second year serving on the Board, and his first with Leadership Council. Andrew has also served on: Freshmen Leadership Council, the 64th Student Senate, Student Bookstore Advisory Committee; and is currently involved with his Fraternity (Pi Kappa Alpha), and the College of Business’ Student Leadership Council. Andrew has a tremendous passion for Seminole athletics, and greater Florida State University.
Kevin Swearingen, Tickets Kevin is a Junior from Arlington, Texas double majoring in Professional Sales and Business Management. This is his second year serving on the Seminole Student Boosters Executive Board as the ticket chair. Kevin is a life-long Seminole fan, traveling from Texas to watch the majority of FSU home games over the last decade. He has also traveled to Boulder, San Francisco, Charlotte, Clemson, Raleigh, Atlanta, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Boston to watch the Noles. His favorite sports are football and baseball. Outside of being a Florida State Athletics fan, he is also a big Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars fan. His two favorite FSU experiences are being at the 2005 Miami and 2011 Oklahoma games. Go Noles!
Keenan Hobbs, RSO Liaison Keenan Hobbs is a sophomore from Palm Beach Gardens, FL pursuing a degree in Sports Management, with minors in communication and economics. This is Keenan first year severing on the Booster Executive Board. He is a member of the Phi Alpha Delta pre law society. Equally as important to Keenan studies, he values Florida States Athletics and his favorite sports are football and basketball. He is a huge Miami heat fan. In his free time Keenan enjoys the water and traveling across the country to experience different cultures and life and lifestyles. Keenan favorite Tradition is the Tomahawk Chop during Florida State Football games. Go Noles!
Jocelyn Bellas, Membership Affairs Jocelyn is a sophomore from Orlando, Fl. She is pursuing a degree in communications and History. This is her second year serving on the executive board. Her favorite Seminole tradition is participating in Seminole Sensation Week! Go Noles!
Karry Pomes, Membership Affairs Karry is a Senior from Miami, Fl double majoring in Political Science and Marketing. This is her second year serving on the Seminole Student Boosters Executive Board. She is also a member of the Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization, FSU Student Alumni Association, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, and serves on the social committee of the Pi Gamma Mu National Leadership and Honors Organization. She loves attending all FSU athletic events, especially away football games. Last season she traveled to Boston College, Wake Forest and Gainesville to watch the Seminoles. Her favorite Seminole tradition is the warchant and tomahawk chop. Go Noles!
