Board of Trustees

The Florida State University Foundation is governed by an elected Board of Trustees, whose members serve as advocates for the university, its colleges, programs and units. Trustees may serve two three-year terms of appointment, subject to the approval by the University President, the Trusteeship Committee and the endorsement of the general Foundation Board of Trustees. Trustees come from a wide array of professions, many lifestyles and various locations across Florida and the country. They are committed to building successful partnerships with the university and its many generous supporters.

The Board of Trustees has seven officers: a chair, a chair-elect, a president, a secretary, a treasurer, an assistant secretary and an assistant treasurer. The business of the Foundation is largely conducted through seven standing committees: the Audit Committee; the Development Committee; the Donor Stewardship Committee; the Executive Committee; the Finance Committee; the Investment Committee; and the Trusteeship Committee.

In accordance with Florida statutes, the president of the Foundation is accountable to the president of the University and the Foundation Board of Trustees and serves as an ex officio member of the Board. The Foundation Board of Trustees currently meets two times per fiscal year—in the fall and the spring.

The next Investment Committee meeting will take place Wednesday, June 26 at 8 a.m. If you plan to attend, the meeting will be held in Room 302 at the Foundation.
