New Classes

We have been working hard implementing additional elective classes for all Hospitality and PGM majors this year. We have developed courses that teach hospitality issues with an international perspective.

The new courses include:
Ales, Lagers and International Cultures

Ales/Lagers and Culture – a tasting course
International Wine and Culture
Wine and Culture – a tasting course
International Protocol
International Food and Culture
International Travel and Culture

These electives are widely popular with students all over campus, as well as those majoring in Hospitality. This has allowed us to increase our presence on campus. Of course, our students are still required to take all the rigorous College of Business courses and we remain one of the very few hospitality programs that offer students a College of Business degree. Our students must still complete 1000 hours of practical industry experience before they graduate. More information about our curriculum is available on the school website.

Sincerely,

Jane Boyd Ohlin
Director and
The Robert H. Dedman Professor of Hospitality Management
