About the Council

The GOLDen Ring Young Alumni Development Council is a volunteer group of recent graduate donors, new donors and student leaders who are role models of commitment, involvement and accomplishment. These volunteers provide a strong foundation upon which fundraising, outreach and alumni activities are built. Through their own enthusiasm and participation, they help motivate FSU alumni and friends. Members of the council share a common bond and ensure through dialogue that potential donors express their interests, give voice to donors’ concerns and understand the importance of donor support.

To be invited to serve on the Young Alumni Development Council, graduates must contribute annually at the GOLDen Ring level, show strong commitment to the advancement of FSU's academic programs and be available to attend meetings both in person and via teleconference.

Current Young Alumni Development Councils exist in Atlanta; Washington, D.C.; Orlando; North Carolina—Research Triangle; South Florida; California; Tallahassee; Tampa; Jacksonville; and New York City.
