State track & field coach Bob Braman could hardly contain his excitement as he watched the results of the United States Olympic Track & Field trials unfold last month on the University of Oregon campus.

"We're starting to fill up the boat with Seminoles," Braman said, after FSU senior Maurice Mitchell claimed his first Olympic berth in the 200-meter dash on the final day of the trials.

Few if any collegiate programs in the country can match the Seminoles' representation at the 2012 London Olympic Games, which get underway July 27 with the opening ceremony. In all, 11 former Seminole track & field athletes representing seven different countries will compete in the Games...

2010 - Former Athlete Frank Reneke Making a Difference

May 20, 2007 - Alumni Bob May Wins Gold Medals in the Senior Olympic Games
During May of 2007, FSU Alumni Bob May ('48-'50) entered the Senior Olympic Games that were held in Atlanta, Georgia. As a swimmer, he earned gold medals in the freestyle and breast stroke categories.
