Homecoming Parade

The parade will feature the usual colorful array of floats and participants from campus and community groups and, of course, Renegade, Osceola, FSU cheerleaders, the candidates for Chief and Princess and the Marching Chiefs. View parade route

Eligibility Requirements
- All applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students who have attended The Florida State University for at least one academic year.
- All applicants must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and have completed, or be registered for completion of 90 or more hours. Graduate students must have at least a 3.0 FSU graduate grade point average and at least 18 graduate credit hours completed.
- All undergraduate applicants must be enrolled at least 12 hours in the semester of their candidacy. All graduate applicants must be enrolled in the appropriate number of semester credit hours as determined by their graduate department. Those undergraduate seniors requiring less than 12 hours to graduate in Fall 2012 may be exempted. Written documentation must be submitted from the appropriate office(s).
Selection Criteria
Criteria for selecting six male candidates for Chief and six female candidates for Princess are:
- Applicant’s interview
Clarity of expression/speech, awareness of campus issues, future focus/contribution, poise and confidence.
- Academic excellence
Overall GPA and academic awards and accomplishments.
- FSU involvement and leadership
Length, breadth, depth, and diversity of involvement, overall leadership, accomplishments, and positions held.
- Community service
Type of community service, amount of community service, variety of community service.
- Overall presentation
Passion for FSU, ability to represent the university and other considerations contingent on interview and application.
